Charlie Puth is a pop singer and songwriter. He made a name for himself by posting original songs and covers to his hit YouTube channel. He started his journey on September 9, 2009 and since then he was signed by Ellen DeGeneres’ record label. Even so, he left her label in 2012 and released a few independent extended plays. In early 2015, Puth signed with Atlantic and in February 2015, he released his debut single “Marvin Gaye”. In addition, he also wrote, co-produced, and was featured on a song with Wiz Khalifa, “See You Again”, a tribute to the late Paul Walker, included in the Furious 7 soundtrack.
Charlie Puth was born on December 2, 1991 in Rumson, NJ. He was bitten by a dog when he was 2 years old, hence his eyebrow scar. Since his mom is a music teacher, she introduced him to piano at the age of 4. He attended the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College as a jazz piano major and a classical studies minor. He graduated in 2013 from the Berklee College of Music, where he majored in music production and engineering.
